Movie : To Sir with Love

Definition of child in the movie is that selfish person is a child. A person who behave responsibly is a adult. Students didn't respect thier teacher, Mark, and listen to speech. They also interrupted a class and tricked him. Mark treated his students as adults. He taught them the life that they were interested in and how to behave as a adult.His studentes became adults little by little.
My behaviour in this semester is not adult. I sometimes come to school late and I fall in sleep during the class, so that I think that I am a little bit child. I understand that I have to study more, but I often go to party.

Improve presentation

I think that presentation is a kind of communication that share the information. You need to explain easily so that everyone can understand. There are some ways to communicate. you should speech loudly, slowly and understandingly.Difficult words should be added explanation. Eye contact is very important, because you can find whether or not everyone are understanding. You should organize the main ideas and use pictures, computer, actions, movie, and music. I think that if you use these ways you will be able to attract audience. And I have to fix my habit that my eyes close automatically.

Mao

I was attracted to chinese history because I made friendship with some chinese people. I had studied history in japan, but I did not understand and I had almost forgotten!! I did not know why China and Taiwan were separate. But now, I understand. To make good relationship with other country, it is important to understand their country's history.

New Family

On Saturday, I moved in new house. My room is private room completely!!!! I thought that perhaps my host family were kind. I heard that there are two roommate. Chinese girl and boy. There was a champagne for supper. I hate alcohol.
On Sunday, I went to the beach to meet my friends. We did homework in the park. The view was so beautiful. I took many pictures. At dinner, I met my roommate. Chinese boy is Min-Yen!!!! Unbelievably, I and Min-Yen live same house.

　　

　　

Radio

Radio is a communication tool. You can send words, music, codes, and other signals to the distant place. There are two kinds of communication. One-way communication and two-way communication. The most familiar use of radio is one-way communication. Broadcasting is to transmit some information. There are many radio station. Radio station is audio broadcasting service.
Radio wave are electromagnetic waves. Sound change into audio-frequency electric waves by microphone. Technician create the program signal by using switches on the control board to select, adjusting, and mixing the material. Program signal is combined with carrier waves. The transmitter amplifies program signal and send.
There are two kind of radio transmission. Amplitude Modulation(AM) amd Frequency Modulation(FM). These are the kind of carrier waves. Difference between the AM and FM is how to combine with program signal.
People also use radio in other ways. Remote control, radio can be used to guide the airplane which has no pilot. Data transmission, Data can be transferred to a computer. like a wireless internet. Special uses, High-energy radio waves cook food in microwave ovens.
I think radio is very useful, because radio is cheaper than cell phone. And it is very fun. Thank you.

the Worst Day

Still I can not believe, I am going to be homeless this weekend. So, I had to refuse the invitation to the museum from my classmate.

In the end of September, my host mother operated her computer busily on the desk which was shared with me. When she went out my room, there were many check on the desk. I peeped it. Amount was huge. But I did not know whether or not it was payment.

Last week, when I came home, some documents were scattered in my room. I picked up the document and read. "I can not pay.....maybe I become homeless this weekend....." The document was printed about E-mail. I thought that someone was going to be homeless. I did not worry about it because I lived safely last week. But actually, someone was my host mother!!!!!!

On October 12, When I come home, I was told by host mother, "I can not pay apartment fee. We have to move out Saturday or Sunday." I was shocked. But I felt a bit happy because I was thinking that I wanted to change my house. This house is too far from SMC. It is waste of time to commute from this house to SMC.

On Saturday, I intended to go to museum, but I could not because I had to pack for moving. I did not know why, preparation did not progress. There were many praying people in the next room. If you pray something, your mind will be helped, but religion can not help poor. I wasted today. I should go to the museum....

What happens next?

Who knows?

I can not focus to do homework and study.

Reading Homework

Movie is better than book, because book has only letter, it is difficult to imagine. In the movie, I can not understand the dialog, but it is easy to imagine.

Quickly

These days, reading class proceeded very quickly. Also, I heard that Level 4 proceed faster than Level 3. It is difficult for me to follow it. I can barely understood only basic idea. Even if I just read, I can not understand. It makes me very stressful.In order to imagine, I have to read carefully. But, I have no time to read twice. If I read slowly, I will not be able to finish homework.

I do not know whether my English is improved or not.

October 7

I went to the buffet restrant with my friend. All you can eat!!!!! $11.95!! I like sushi!! excellent!!! But, I ate only two dishes and felt enough.

Then, we went to the theater to watch the Resident Evil. When we bought tickets, we were asked the age. But, we do not have the ID. We showed everything which might be able to use. We could buy tickets barely. Visual Effects were very excellent.Sometime I want to work at the hollywood movie.

It was night when the movie finished. I like night because the view is very beautiful.

Reading Homework

1. What were the most principles and guiding questions that drove your group's decisions ?

The principles and guiding questions is "Is it necessary to survive?" "Is it important to survive?". There were gaps between the person speaking English very well and the person speaking English poorly. The good English speaker led discussion quickly. The poor English speaker could not follow it. The discussion tend to be decided by the good English speaker because they have no enough time for the poor English speaker to join the discussion. I think that we should discuss more carefully so that The poor English speaker is able to join the discussion.

2. Which items were the most difficult to agree on ?

The items which is not necessary, but is troubled without it. For example, cooking pots.

3. How did your group resolve any differences of opinion ?

Explaining in detail makes us consent.

Writing Homework

If i were in a Shackletons Incredible Voyage I would feel worry about that because i dont like voyage and actually I dont like cold . It would not good for me . I would be so excited , Because we were in Antartica and nobody were in there . But i should be self confident because there was nothng to do .It would be a longtime to do that . If we do it we will be a famous and then we will go back to our citylife and i think it will the best for us . Becauseof the city life is better than the voyage life . Its an adventure but the life more important then everything.

Imagination

The content of this book is exciting, awful, and emotional. The ship named Endurance was going to sink because Endurance was drove by ice. If I got into such a situation, I would not know whether I could live or not. Today, there are helicopters. I am happy to live 21th century. If I were in the Endurance, I would try to survive, and want to have a love affair with a woman like the Titanic movie. It is the most terrible thing that there was no woman in the ship. The crew who would be around me are men! If there was some women, I might be able to love each other. Anyway, I am glad to hear that the crew could return safely.

Speaking Practice

Today, after the Susan's class, Yuki asked Suzan how to improve speaking skill. I listened to this conversation next to Yuki. (Please read the Yuki's blog. More detail is written.)

When we went out of the building, there were some my classmates, Vanders, John, Mohammad, and Min-Yen. I tried to talk with my classmates immediately. We talked about terrible thing. (I can not say this blog.)

After the talk, I went to the cafeteria with Yuki. When we finished eating, Min-Yen came. We talked him.

When Min-Yen went home, we met some friends whose English class level is 1 through 4 in the cafeteria. Arisa and John were there. I talked a lot. Talk! Talk! Talk! Talk! Talk! Talk! There is a American. He is my friend's firend. His name is ..... I am sorry. I forgat. His nickname is A.J. I talked a lot again! but, I did not know what I talk about. There is no topic. Oh my gosh.

Every Morning

My cell phone ring at 6:10 a.m. Of course, I stop the timer and I snooze. My cell phone ring again. I snooze again because I can afford to sleep. If I get up and leave home, I will arrive at SMC at 7:20 a.m. So I snooze again. My cell phone ring again and again. I get up about 6:30 a.m. I wash my face. I eat breackfast. I change my clothes. I leave about 6:50 a.m. I ride the bicycle. It is 9.7 miles to the SMC. It take about 50 minutes.

When I was talking with my friends in the cafeteria, a stranger came and read his poem. I thought "This is the best chance to talk with American!!" He seemed to be interesting in Japanese. No! He seemed to be interesting in Japanese girl!!!! Maybe, he might want to talk with girl, but I did not care!!!! I talked to him. I am so sorry. I am a guy. I taught him some Japanese. For example, how to praise for women, how to ask the phone number. And I was taught slang by him.

Saturday

I explored the Sunset Blvd. There were many shop. When I was looking for goods, I found a very good shoes!! But it is 250 dollars. It is too expensive to buy. I am a student. I have to save money.

small party

yesterday, I went to the friend's house to do homework. After homework, We had a small party. I don't know why, I have a party every Friday. I think I should study more hard... We chatted untill midnight. And I came home at about 2:30 a.m. I was very tired.

Luxurious Time

It is very hard for me to go to SMC by bicycle in the morning, but the way back is very interesting. When I return home it was night, because I studied in the library until late.

Everyday I go through the Beverly Hills. The view of Beverly Hills is very beautiful. The lighting is very fashionable. I always run fast, but only this time I slow down. Cycling makes me fresh and exciting!!

I think that there are many rich men in the Beverly Hills. Some day I want to stay high class hotel.

But they should consider spending money. Donate than they waste money. Donate!!!!!! Many children is dying in the world during they squander money.

Buddy. Homeless Life

Buddy is a homeless man. He worked in a zoo, but he was fired. Next he workd as a janitor. He was fired again. He worked everywhere but he did not have money to live. He steyed in shelters. And he was taken his shoes. So he moveed to the sidewalk. He collects cans and earns money.

My life in LA

It is one month and four days since I came here. When I arrived in America, I was excited with expectation and worry. I was carried by a super shuttle bus.The driver's driving is very rough. I felt sick and wanted to vomit so I did not pay the tip for the driver. Japanese is not used to the tip culture. When I was in the car I found a traffic rule. The car was stopping at every stop sign. But in Japan many car is not stopping at stop sign.

On arriving at home, I was surprised. My hostmother was very fat!!!!! That was American size. And I was asked. "Do you drink something cold?" "yes." I said. My hostmother brought me a soda!! Then I understood why my hostmother is fat.
